Guadalupe Mountains National Park, 2016 Vacation

On day one of our vacation we drove across Texas and into New Mexico. We spent the night in Carlsbad. Spent day two exploring the Carlsbad Caverns before driving back into Texas after lunch to check out Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

All I can say about this part of the trip is… It’s hot.

Even when we went down into the cave… It felt hot. They tell you the temperature in the cave is 57°… what they don’t tell you is the 95% humidity doesn’t allow your body to use sweat to dump your body heat. Miserable way to spend a few hours wandering around underground. I never thought I would enjoy a 105° breeze so much in my life…
